One of the great things about living at a destination is that people want to visit us...especially in the winter! Grandma and Papa came down for a visit at the end of February. Ohio has had a brutal winter-- weeks of below zero temps, snow and ice storms every week-- and so they welcomed a trip to where it was warm!
Little girls were meant to ride on Papa's shoulders.
We went to the Oatland Island Wildlife Center, which was small enough that we could see everything in two hours, but extensive enough you got a good feel for wildlife in and around Georgia.
Instead of cornfields, we have marshes.

The center had a wolf enclosure and the wolves were really interested in Lydia. One kept pacing back and forth along the window while she stood there.
I don't think I should take Lydia near wolves anytime soon...
We also had to head out to the beach. The day was mid-50s, but we had lots of fun playing in the sand and feeding the seagulls.
We sure love these people!
