This is home to me

I'm not going to lie...even though we've gotten used to Georgia by now and even think it's beautiful (!), driving back through the Midwest felt like home.

The rolling hills, thick woods (not pine, like in GA. Beautiful maples and oaks!), the thick, soft grass and the green...oh, the green.
I couldn't get over the green.
The smell of a cornfield. Corn as tall as I am.

Farm houses and barns in the distance. Heaven, so much heaven.
And the daylilies! I was so blessed to be driving through OH when the daylilies were blooming! My mom used to grow daylilies in NY and I loved them every summer. Nothing blooms in the summer in GA, it's too hot. But those orange petals sang to me.

Can I just live here?

8 kids

After Bloomington and the wonderful time with my grandparents, we headed north of Indy to visit some great friends.  Between our 8 children all together, we kept busy! This is their dog, lying like she's flying! It was a fun stop. WE played in a creek, at a park, at a splash pad, went out to dinner--we had a great time.

Home of the Hoosiers

After OH we headed over to Bloomington, Indiana.
We went to Wonderlab.

We went to the pool.

We read books and snuggled.

And we did fireworks!

We went to the park.

Maybe we'll end up in Bloomington someday.......that would be our dream!
